Fifteenth Century Conference 2026 – Registration Now Open
CAMEMS is delighted to draw members’ attention to the opening of registration for the prestigious Fifteenth Century Conference, which will be hosted by the Centre for Medieval and Early Modern Studies (MEMS) at the University of Kent from 3–5 September 2026. (Kent Blogs)
Organised by Dr Sheila Sweetinburgh and Dr David Rundle, the conference is one of the leading annual gatherings for scholars and researchers working on the history and culture of the long fifteenth century. This year’s programme will bring together an international range of speakers, reflecting the vitality and breadth of current research in late medieval studies. (Kent Blogs)
A particular highlight will be a special session at Canterbury Cathedral, including access to a small exhibition of manuscripts and documents from the Cathedral Archives. Delegates will also have the opportunity to take part in an optional excursion to Sandwich on the afternoon of Saturday 5 September. (Kent Blogs)
The organisers are also introducing a poster session for early-career scholars, providing an excellent opportunity for postgraduate students and emerging researchers to present their work and engage with the wider academic community. (Kent Blogs)
As a charity dedicated to supporting the study of the medieval and early modern periods, CAMEMS warmly encourages members, students, independent researchers and all those with an interest in the fifteenth century to consider attending.
